Kyiv (in the past Zhulians) – the International Ukrainian Airport, located in the capital of the country, opened in 1924. At first it was an ordinary airfield. Passenger flights from Kharkov acted in Poltava to Kyiv, as well as from Kharkov in Poltava to Kremenchug and Odessa.

In 1949, a more modern airproofing, receiving passenger and cargo airliners from all over the Soviet Union was erected.

His first official name was received in 1960.

In 2009, WFP was completely renovated, which made it possible to take large aircraft. In the same year, the airport began to carry out its activities without a break and weekend.

In 2012, Wizz Air airlines decided to postpone the base from Borispol Airport, since then there has been a significant increase in the number of internal and international flights. In the same period, new regular flights to Vnukovo (Moscow) appeared. Arranged direct flight to the UAE administrative center – Dubai.

On the territory of the airport you can visit the largest aviation museum of the country, where samples of civil and military aircraft are demonstrated.

In 2018, the Kiev City Council decided to renaming the airport of Zhulians to the Kyiv Airport International Airport named after Igor Sikorsky. The word “Zhulians” in the title ceased to be used at all.

Terminal “A”

Terminal “A” was created in 2012. Designed to maintain internal and international flights. Its passenger traffic per hour is more than 300 people.

On the airport there are two protected parking on which 500 parking spaces are provided. The first 10 minutes parking is free. After this time, payment is taken for every hour.
