Historical Help

Vologda Airport leads its history since 1928, when a decree was issued on the creation of the Vologda Aiapropriya.

In 1931, the first airline “Moscow – Vologda – Arkhangelsk” opened.

Already in 1937, 3055 air passengers were transported through the airfoot, more than 40 tons of cargo and about 95 tons of postal shipments.

In 1941, the flight composition was relocated under Leningrad.

In 1943, cargo-passenger air transportations in local directions resumed through Vologda Airport.

In 1970-80 OJSC Vologda Aviation Enterprise developed intensive pace and rebuilt one of the first in the provincial cities of the WFP, suitable for the take-off and landing of Yak-40.

In 1981, a new built-in building was built.

In the mid-1990s, Vologda Airport was in a difficult economic situation. I had to abandon many regular flights on the inner lines, bring an-2 aircraft from the fleet, sharply reduce the number of other aircraft, twice the number of personnel, introduce the most severe economy regime, etc.

In 2013, the airline headed V. E. Zhogolev.

In 2016, the airport airport was replenished with a MI-8MAT helicopter with a sanitary module on board.
